OpenMaster for Telecom is a suite of applications and core services that is highly flexible, with built-in integration for multi-service, multi-technology and multi-vendor environments to allow a consistent management, regardless of the nature of the managed components. These applications offer an integrated and correlated view of the telecommunications infrastructure, facilitating and accelerating problem resolution. Fault center

The fault center (Alarm, Event and Dispatcher) is a unique application dedicated to rapidly implement an alarm workflow process into network operation centers. These applications offer highly specialized alarm filtering and handling abilities.

Alarm workflow management (e.g. geographical and organizational partitioning, escalation, change of duty) can be easily implemented by defining operator profiles and interactions.

These features greatly reduce the learning curve of the operators and grant all the flexibility required by such an organization.

Root cause and impact analysis capabilities

The automated problem identification and resolution integrates an expert system for root cause and impact analysis. This application enables OpenMaster to correlate events received from any service, network, or network element as well as any data coming from external sources ( e.g. topology database). Event correlation makes it possible to automatically sift through the information in order to isolate alarms requiring immediate action, therefore increasing the efficiency of operations.

Scalable and highly available

The OpenMaster for Telecom architecture, based on an OpenMaster Server, 'OpenMaster Station and Java Station', enables telecommunication providers complete flexibility to adapt and build their management infrastructure, complete with all the security required by the Telecom environment. This flexible architecture allows the management workload to be spread over multiple servers and facilitates supervision capabilities for mobile administrators, on-call duty personnel, as well as 24-hour home support. The SafeMaster module provides 24x7 management with no disruption of management tasks or loss of alarms or any valuable information.
